Secureaccess encryptstick v3 decrypt5/2/2023 This is NOT subtle advertising! This 8GB capacity stick looks like it would be worth stealing solely on being a nice piece of jewelry, and then the added bonus that there might be "valuable secrets" just makes that possibility even more likely. It is in a shiny bronze color with "EncryptStick" emblazoned on it. The first problem is that the pre-loaded stick looks like it is worth a million dollars. However, there is always room for improvement, so here are my suggestions. I have tried out all three functions and everything works as advertised. A secure browser, that prevents any key-logging or malware that might be on the host Windows machine.Encrypted password list for all your websites and programs.That is a nice feature, because you are not limited to the capacity of the USB stick. Encryption for data organized in "storage vaults", which can be either on the stick itself, or on any other machine the stick is connected to.Whichever you choose, the EncryptStick offers three nice protection features: You can download the software yourself and put in on your own USB device, or purchase the pre-loaded stick that comes with the full-version license. The free trial version has but provides enough glimpse of the product to decide before you buy the full version. The EncryptStick software comes in two flavors, a free/trial version, and the full/paid version. My friends at ENC Security Systems provided me a full-version pre-loaded stick for this review.) Carefully follow the advice of our Support department when asked to delete folders.Last March, in my blog post, I mentioned the use of, a product by ENC Security Systems. Deleting a Secure Folder is permanent and cannot be restored. Do not delete the Secure Folder if you are not entirely sure about this step. The above steps do not delete the Secure Folder in the existing installation. Go back to the ENC Security BV folder and delete it.If you want to restore your existing Secure Folder after reinstalling the software and you were unable to back up your DataVault 7 Secure Folder data, copy the folder “ENCDataVault70” and paste it to your desktop.Navigate to C:\Users\”username”\Local\ENC Security BV\ENC DataVault70.Removal of DataVault Secure Folder and DataVault Settings folders Select ENC DataVault and click uninstall.Īfter this de-installation, you will most likely have to restart your computer to fully complete the uninstall (one driver used by the application can only be uninstalled if not in use).Those folders can be added into the DV7 program interface after re-installation.īelow are steps for completely removing and reinstalling the software on your computer Basic uninstallation in Windows Note: If you have Vault folders or Secure Folders on your external USB devices for other installed software, including ENCDataVault 6, EncryptStick, EncryptStick Lite or SanDisk SecureAccess, do NOT remove those folders. If you have DV7 installed on your computer and have created secure folders on an externally connected device, such as a flash drive, you can leave those Secure Folders in place on the USB device and connect them after the new installation is done. If the DV7 software is installed on an external drive (SSD, USB flash drive etc.), back up your Secure Folder data or copy the "ENCDataVault" folder to your desktop, before proceeding to delete all the DataVault files and folders to start a fresh installation. If you want to save the files stored in your Secure Folders, then before uninstalling DV7 you will first need to back up those Secure Folders, or copy the “ENCDataVault” folder and paste it to your desktop. When you remove the DataVault 7 software from your computer and prepare for reinstallation of the software, you are also removing the Secure Folder (with your files), and a Settings folder, unless you take steps to save your data files.
